Seamaster Paint Vietnam is using the latest production equipment and technology in its production process. Its machine capacity is currently able to produce more than 15 million litres of paint each year. Automated machinery with high productivity and efficiency are used to ensure quality and consistency.
More than 70 per cent of the raw materials are imported from overseas from well known suppliers to ensure high quality in product performance. In particular, as Vietnam is a tropical country with harsh and hot summers and heavy rainfall during the wet season, the use of good pigmentation is critical in ensuring colour retention and fastness over the years. With its R&D department in Singapore, it is able to formulate products with good weather resistance and performance. Seamaster’s lab is currently using state-of-the-art quality control and testing equipment to ensure the highest product quality and consistency. It now has computer software to offer colour schemes for customers to preview, which has thousands of colours.
Seamaster Paint Vietnam Co., Ltd has been ISO9000 and IS14000 certified for more than five years and in Singapore for almost 20 years. Moreover, its products are certified to many other standards, such as Vietnam Quatest and Singapore Standards, among others. Some products are also certified Green Label, expressing its commitment to be environmentally friendly, with low volatile organic compounds (VOC) and no lead, chrome or mercury. For instance, for exterior walls, 8720 Weathercare waterproofing is good for covering hairline cracks, has algae and fungus resistance, and good colour retention. With the use of a tinting system, more than ten products can be tinted from a choice of thousands of colours, and also some specialty products such as thermal insulating coating, which can reduce temperatures by 5-10 C. Seamaster Paints has product such as Seamaster Acoustic coating, which is currently used at the Integrated Resort (IR) Casino in Singapore to reduce sound echo. Seamaster Paint Vietnam distributes through four branches in the country, in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang and Can Tho, and through its distribution network throughout the country.
Projects in Vietnam using Seamaster paint products include Keppeland Villa Riveria, Kumho Asiana Plaza, the Canary project of Guocoland, Oasis of Saigon North International, the Estella showroom, Lot D of Binh Thanh Housing, Sedona Suites Hanoi, Everrich Apartment, and RMIT in District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City. Its extensive R & D laboratories are located around the region and are supported by the parent R & D laboratory in Singapore.
